Summer has come to an end and we’ve moved into my absolute favourite time of year, fall.  It’s the time of year that I find to be the most colourful.  I love seeing the farmers bring in the last of their farmed produce to sell at markets.  I like seeing people walk the markets,  scurrying from stand to stand looking for the last of the season’s fruits and veggies.  It’s like watching the squirrels in my yard foraging for acorns, nuts and seeds to fill their nests for the upcoming winter.  Birds flying south and bugs doing what they need to do as well.

I  always find that fall is the most special of all the seasons.  It’s colourful and warm and  it seems to offer that gentle nudge in preparation for the cold season up ahead.  Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy the winter but the fall is just a lovely prelude.

Long walks in the crisp air and crunchy leaves under my feet.  Reminiscing about days gone by, and looking forward to future adventures.  I dream of the trips I plan to take and the one coming up.  Germany and Paris are only 34 sleeps away.  Where do I go after that?  Somewhere warm or some where colder?  For now, I’ll just continue on my path covered in autumn leaves and enjoy the last of the warm sunshine on my face.
